Dado Rails

Dresser dado rails, picture rails and friezes provide a traditional decorative timber finish to walls, hallways, bathrooms and panelling. They come in a number of shapes and sizes and based on traditional and modern designs.

They can be fixed using wall plugs and screws or adhered using the new modern adhesives now available. As they can be manufactured in different woods, a room’s decorative mouldings including skirting boards, architraves etc. can all be co-ordinated.

Our dado rails are not just limited for use as decorative wall dividers, they can be applied to all manner of decorative features in the home from tile cappings to the construction of wall panelling and applied to plain doors to give a panelled effect.

‘Type 16‘ is a popular dado for study rooms, whilst ‘Type 18‘ is more delicate for bedrooms. ‘Type 23‘ and ‘Type 24‘ are frequently used to form relief panels on plastered walls and ceilings.
