Oak remains a very popular choice of hardwood due to its textured grain and strength properties.
A typical application used for furniture construction, joinery, windows, doors, floors and internal mouldings. Oak is rarely painted due to the beautiful grained appearance when machined. Oak can be greatly enhanced by applying clear vanish or lacquers to enhance the beauty of the timber.
American White Oak can be supplied in various grades from prime grade with the occasional small knot to knotty character grade.
Typical moisture contact when working with joinery materials tends to between 8 to 10%. Stable for internal applications, however care must be taken when using in areas with higher moisture levels.
